One of a Hundred - page 102 - Natalie’s Story part 5

Thursday, July 17th, 2008

Check it out: Another Thursday, another page in the comic. Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not. You be the judge. You can also read the whole series, as well as see a larger version of the current page by clicking on the picture below.

One of a Hundred follows the story of Jim Hatlen, an atheist who loses [...]

A is for…Arrogance

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

This is a post I originally had done in February of last year, but on my Live Spaces site. I was still a little more cocky in my faith then, also. But, it hadn’t appeared here, so… enjoy:
I thought I would post about different issues or sins and maybe it would be best to address what I [...]

John Lennon: The Beatles a Christian Band?

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

If that one vicar turns one young boy away, what difference will it make? Look at Mr. Lennon’s example. He was just one boy, but he grew up to have influence over millions of people. Thousands of people still idolize him even long after his death. He was turned off then to organized religion. How many people are turned off to it today because of him?

Does God, Religion, or Church Make People Behave Better?

Monday, July 14th, 2008

“Does this stuff (religion) make people behave better?” As if in a partial answer, I stumbled upon this article: Study: Christianity makes men better husbands, fathers.

Will the Real (not fake) Presidential Candidate Please Stand Up? (or How do you feel about Christians?)

Friday, July 11th, 2008

I don’t know a whole lot about their stances on other issues. Right now it doesn’t even matter. They’re politicians. They’ll say ANYTHING to get themselves elected. I got up at three to feed him. He’s always up at three. Why wasn’t he crying?

Christianity is Child Abuse? Under What Law?

Wednesday, July 9th, 2008

I’ve heard arguments that if people were never exposed to the stories about Jesus, everyone would’ve ended up atheist. Then they spout such idyllic crap as the world would be all peace and sunshine. Yeah, people do so well at getting along on our own, huh?

A Little Quick Space Filler

Tuesday, July 8th, 2008

I kind of broke our laptop last night replacing the fan. I got it put back together, it ran for a little while, then locked up. Now it’s not fully booting up at all, giving me the “unmountable boot volume” error. I repeated the disassembly and reassembly 2 or 3 times until about 3 am [...]

God bless America

Monday, July 7th, 2008

God has protected and blessed our country for over two hundred years. Biblically, we have had to be standing on good principles, with people of faith, for such a blessing to have continued throughout the centuries. No, we have not always behaved honorably. But we have obviously been doing some things right to receive so much of God’s blessings.

Happy 4th of July, Schoolhouse Rock Style

Friday, July 4th, 2008

To celebrate the birthday of our country, the United States of America, here’s a history lesson, a look back on what brought us to where we are today. If you’re a child of the 70’s or 80’s you should be familiar with Schoolhouse rock, a perfect source to recount our nation’s rise to power and how we try to maintain it.
